Pacific Park at the Santa Monica Pier is a repeat customer for Tuff Shed. Previously they had turned to us for food storage for their restockable and frozen goods. They were so pleased with that custom structure that when they required a new walk up ticket window for their attractions, they didn’t hesitate to contact Tuff Shed. This project required significant custom work, including walk-up windows, interior finishes (sheathing, interior painting, commercial countertops, etc.), plus electrical outlets and data ports. Additionally, the structure needed to be built on a pier over the ocean and be able to withstand costal weather, with installation as rapid as possible to avoid interfering with the park’s amusement business.
The Tuff Shed engineering department began the project with elevation and plan views of the structure to ensure that the building met requirements and regulations for installation on the pier prior to fabrication. To meet insulation requirements, the structure was fabricated with hot dipped galvanized fasteners, vapor barrier, fiberglass reinforced plastic interior walls, and a reinforced sandwiched floor system with vinyl tiles. We also added a typical commercial steel entry door. Our on-site assembly of pre-fabricated components allowed us to install the structure quickly, with little disruption to daily business.
The Tuff Shed Advantage:
- High-level interior finish
- Electrical and data ports
- Custom door and service windows
- Quick installation time
- Reinforced specs based on marine environmental
